From Banking to a Passion for Fine Cuisine
Welcome to my website! I’m delighted to have you here and would love to share my story of how I became a private chef in Tenerife, bringing my culinary passion to life with you.
From Banking to a Love of Travel
Born in Wuppertal, Germany in 1983, I started my career in banking. Yet even back then, I felt a longing to see the world – a need to experience new places and immerse myself in different cultures. So, I set out on a new path, working as a tour guide in fascinating destinations like Jamaica, Malta, and Italy. Each stop along the way opened up a world of new flavors, introducing me to the joys of each region’s unique cuisine.
Discovering My Culinary Passion
As I experienced the cuisines of these various countries, I developed a love for good food and the joy of cooking. Before long, I wanted not only to savor these incredible flavors but to create my own and share them. That desire to experiment with flavors and ingredients led me to settle on the beautiful island of Tenerife. Here, I started cooking more and more for friends and family, bringing my own creations to life and learning to incorporate the freshest regional ingredients.
An Adventure on German cooking show Küchenschlacht
A highlight of my journey as a private chef Tenerife was my participation in the ZDF cooking show, Küchenschlacht. On a whim, I applied, and to my amazement, I cooked my way to the finals! The panel of esteemed chefs praised my dishes and encouraged me to continue following my passion professionally. With their words in mind, I found the courage to commit to my path as a private chef.
The Launch of “Meet & Eat” and Becoming Fully Independent
Following my experience on Küchenschlacht, I felt inspired to share my love for cooking with others, which led me to create the Meet & Eat events. In these smaller, intimate gatherings, guests enjoy an exclusive menu and connect over a shared love of good food. The response to this Tenerife food experience was tremendous, and it wasn’t long before I began receiving requests to cook for private birthday celebrations and events across Tenerife.
Today, as a private chef Tenerife, I have the joy of cooking for people with diverse tastes, whether in their own homes, a holiday villa, or for special events.
